Description

Learn the basic skills of leatherworking while making this durable gardener’s tool belt. The leather pouch is approximately 9 1/2" wide and 9 1/2" tall and features three pockets to keep your frequently used gardening tools and accessories organized and within reach. The included 1 1/2" wide webbed belt adjusts from 36" to 55" to sit around your waist or hips.

As you assemble the pieces of dark brown 2mm thick chrome-tanned leather, you will learn how to punch evenly spaced stitch holes, thread the needles, and sew the seams using the leapfrog saddle-stitch technique. You will also add rivets to reinforce the pocket corners and other stress points. No sewing experience required.

This project is suitable for skill levels from beginner to intermediate, for ages 14 years and up, and can be completed in 2 1/2 to 5 hours.

The kit contains everything you need to make it yourself, including over $67 of hand tools and reusable supplies. Access to the step-by-step video and a downloadable copy of the written instructions are also included. Components of the kit are listed under the Specifications tab.
